NEW WORLD INTERACTIVE COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
Last updated: 2020-07-22
Originally founded in 2010, New World Interactive began with humble beginnings as a small ambitious team dedicated to creating great games, driving innovation, and pioneering genres. What initially started out as a group of community modders would eventually evolve into an award-winning independent video game studio with three commercially successful FPS games under its belt.
Over the course of a decade and with the success of our products, we’ve been lucky enough to obtain a vocal and dedicated community that stands behind us and our games. With the continued growth of our community, it’s absolutely crucial for us to develop a clear set of rules that apply to everyone who represents, plays, and/or discusses our games.
While the majority of our players may see these guidelines as “common-place” or “basic etiquette”, we still want to be very clear and concise about the expectations that we hold. Below, you can find the set guidelines that apply to our community within our games and company-owned/organized platforms.
Whether you’re a developer, a content creator, or a gamer; at the end of the day, we’re all a part of the same community. Please remember to be respectful and constructive with your communication within the community. Don't get into flamewars, spread false information, make personal threats, rant unconstructively, etc. Additionally, New World Interactive has absolutely zero-tolerance for racial and discriminatory harassment.
Please do your part within the community to maintain a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for everyone.
The use of any unauthorized third party programs, including but not limited to; hacks, cheats, scripts, bots, automation programs, etc, will result in a permanent ban issued by Valve Anti-Cheat, BattlEye, or Easy Anti-Cheat - depending on the NWI product. New World Interactive also reserves the right to manually ban players
New World Interactive has a zero-tolerance policy for cheating, and all account bans are taken extremely seriously. Information regarding ban appeals for our games can be found here.
The illegal downloading and copying of software is a crime. In the United States and many other countries, copyright law provides for severe civil and criminal penalties for the unauthorized reproduction or distribution of copyrighted material.
Distributing or downloading copyrighted material that is licensed by New World Interactive will result in a permanent ban from all current and future NWI products.
IV) USE OF NEW WORLD INTERACTIVE PRODUCTS/MATERIAL
There are no restrictions on recording, streaming, or discussing our games. However, it’s good practice to disclose/reference our games and company when NWI copyrighted material is used within articles, websites, videos, etc. We strongly recommend that all content creators follow United States Fair Use & Copyright Law.
It’s also important to note that our products can not be used for promotional means without express permission from our company. If you have any specific questions or inquiries regarding the use of New World Interactive Products/Material, please e-mail email@example.com
V) PERSONAL INFORMATION & IMPERSONATION
Spreading personal information of others and/or impersonating developers, streamers, notable individuals, or everyday players is strictly prohibited. Players found engaging in these practices will be banned immediately.
VI) SAFETY & SECURITY
As a final guideline, we encourage all players to take the necessary precautions to ensure the safety and security of yourself and others within the community. Never give out your personal/account information, click on suspicious links, etc. New World Interactive will never ask for your Steam password.
